Asbury Radio is grateful for the opportunity to tell you who we are and how we can help your business.

Asbury Radio is a weekly talk radio show that gives the public a voice in Asbury Park's revival.  Our motto is, "Speak Up! It's America!"

We also look beyond Asbury Park for topics and people with information we judge worthy of our listeners' attention - from Eminent Domain to Cooking with Exotic Spices. We don't interpret, edit, or limit opinion to arbitrary time limits. As my old NYTimes editor used to say, "Write to whatever length the topic deserves - and not another line!"  That's still my guide.

In addition to 88.1 FM, Asbury Radio airs simultaneously over the internet at our site, AsburyRadio.com, hosted by Pete Walton, founder of AsburyPark.net. Internet visitors listen to the show live or later in archive, while looking at information on various topics posted on Asbury Radio.com. They often write with questions and ask about where to find reliable products, services and good food! Listeners call the studio during the show to comment and win tickets and other prizes.

Our mission is to entertain and enhance the lives of our listeners. We'll try anything - and have even produced an original play with local actors live from our Bangs Avenue studio, while the playwright listened from his home in Palm Desert, CA. Whenever possible we coordinate guests with local happenings. At this writing, we plan to host an in-studio interview with Tom Reese of jazz quartet, The Reese Project, which will launch the Wonder Bar's Jazz Brunch Series on January 29th.

We buy our airtime from WYGG-Radio Bonne Nouvelle (Good News Radio) and offset those and other costs with the help of underwriters. When you underwrite Asbury Radio, you support free speech and intelligent debate. Your message is heard over and over by visitors to our "Inside the Studio" archive pages. Even without going to the archive, visitors will see your logo in the left-hand banner on the home page and on the sponsors' page. If you opt for a full page on the site, they'll click on those links and see your full-page message. Other companies enjoying our services include The Hardware Store - for 5 years! - Dr. Richard Fernicola, Pain Management, in Ocean Twp., DeSeno & Kunz LLC, AsburyPark.net, Bowe & Fernicola LLC, in Red Bank, The (Stephen) Crane House, in Asbury Park, Dr. Geena Buono's To Health and Back Wellness Center, a Chiropractor, The Rag, The Upstage, Jersey Urban Renewal and Aanensen's kitchen and bath remodelers in Ocean Grove. And, we have testimonials to share with you.

Some of our guests have included the men who saved the former home of Red Badge of Courage author, Stephen Crane, as well as singers, musicians, authors, including Mary Jane Clark and Helen-Chantal Pike, actors, playwrights, historians, including Werner Baumgartner and Kevin Chambers, environmentalists, activists, poets, and politicians [Most recently the Republican nominee for NJ Governor, Doug Forrester and Democratic Assembly Candidates Reilly and Doherty] - and of course callers. Obviously, preservation and waterfront redevelopment are frequent topics. Since Asbury Park also has a rich musical heritage, we frequently showcase local talent. Our radio broadcast reaches listeners from as far north as Middletown and as far south as Toms River, and west to the outskirts of Freehold.  The internet audience is borderless!

88.1 FM is located on the 7th floor of 601 Bangs Avenue -in the heart of Asbury Park!

Thanks for considering us to get your message out. We look forward to serving your needs,

All best,

Maureen Nevin
